Marleshwar Yatra is annually held on Makar Sankranti day evry year. This is one of the important festivals at Marleshwar Temple at Maral near Ratnagiri in Maharashtra. The shrine is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva. Marleshwar is a cave temple and is surrounded by huge trees and herbs The cave shrine is famous for snakes

Activities
The annual festival celebrates the marriage of Marleshwar and Goddess Girija Devi. The yatra attracts thousands of devotees. A Religious Event at Marleshwar temple, a fair is organised every January when millions of people visit the temple during the fair. programs like music, plays, kirtans, bhajans continue for the two days. Mahaprasad is also distributed to all the Devotees. Traditional play like Dashavatar or Shivcharitra is organised.
