It appears that Apple wants all the assistance it can get in order to incorporate generative AI into Apple Intelligence, which was just unveiled. The Wall Street Journal reported that Apple and Meta have discussed the potential use of Meta's generative AI model, citing people with knowledge of the conversations. Similar conversations are said to have taken place with the startups Perplexity and Anthropic. However, nothing has been decided upon as of yet, according to the WSJ.

During this month's WWDC, Apple formally revealed the much-discussed collaboration with OpenAI, which would enable ChatGPT to be available on more recent iPhones, iPads, and Macs running the next operating system. Craig Federighi, senior vice president of software engineering at Apple, mentioned Google's Gemini at the event as something that could
